How the Protocol Works
Complexion Code + is a multi-phase skincare protocol that begins with an in-office application and continues with carefully monitored home care. Designed for safety, customization for individual skin concerns, and for creating a visible transformation, the treatment protocol involves the following steps:
1. Initial Application: Your provider will dispense 3–5 grams of the Complexion Code Mask—enough to form a thin, even layer across the entire face, avoiding the eye area. This first layer remains on for approximately 20 minutes to assess sensitivity.
2. Sensitivity Evaluation: If any signs of hypersensitivity appear (including intense redness, swelling, itching, or burning), the mask is immediately removed, and we take steps to manage the reaction. If no sensitivity occurs, the treatment continues.
3. Second Layer Application: A second layer may be applied, concentrating on areas with more pronounced pigmentation, texture irregularities, or visible signs of aging. This layer remains on the skin for at least 4 to 5 hours.
4. Extended Wear Time: The mask remains on the skin for a minimum of four hours. In some cases, reapplication may be advised if the product absorbs quickly. Your provider may adjust the wear time based on skin type (Fitzpatrick scale), degree of pigmentation, skin texture, and individual tolerance.
5. At-Home Removal and Aftercare: You’ll gently remove the mask at home using lukewarm water—no rubbing or friction. After removal, apply Moisturizer Code Plus as needed over the following 7 days to support hydration and recovery. To protect your results, use Total Code Protection SPF 50+, reapplying every 3 hours during daylight hours.
