AccuTite and AccuLift in Sarasota and Tampa

At Holcomb - Kreithen Plastic Surgery & Medspa, we stay on the cutting edge of the most advanced and effective cosmetic facial procedures that achieve extraordinary results and keep patient safety in mind. Two of our most successful facial procedures include AccuTite™ and AccuLift™.

AccuLift and AccuTite

AccuLift, known as the “30-minute facelift”, is the first and only laser assisted facial contouring procedure available today. Patients are able to see immediate results that are long-lasting, and best of all, only one treatment is necessary.

AccuTite is an extremely accurate and precise radiofrequency skin tightening technology that is used to treat the small and delicate areas of the face and body that were previously very difficult to treat. AccuTite is the smallest minimally invasive radiofrequency contraction device available.

How AccuTite works

AccuTite brings the science and safety associated with InMode’s radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) family of technologies. RFAL tightens the skin while melting fat cells using a probe that includes two sides so that it can work both internally and externally at the same time.

The radiofrequency heat underneath the skin causes soft tissue to contract and tighten, stimulating the collagen production process. This procedure offers a convenient alternative to many types of cosmetic surgery, with less pain and recovery time.

Be sure to arrange someone to drive you home from your appointment. AccuTite treatments are performed under local anesthesia. The probe is so small that it can fit in the palm of your hand. After you are given your local anesthetic, the AccuTite probe will be inserted beneath your skin. Because of your anesthetic, the procedure should have very minimal discomfort.

Candidates for AccuTite

If you’re in the Sarasota and Tampa area and you’re considering AccuTite, you may be an excellent candidate. AccuTite is best for men and women who are bothered by the signs of aging and who prefer a non-invasive procedure. Candidates for this procedure want to treat the following areas:

  • Neck
  • Elbows
  • Knees
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Jowls
  • Inner thighs
  • Bra fat
  • Eyelids
  • Hands
  • Brow

Recovery and results

AccuTite requires 2 to 3 days of downtime, during which time you may experience bruising. You may be given a compression garment to wear during your downtime. Although patients may return to their regular activities after a few days, exercise should be avoided for about one week after treatment. You will begin to see small improvements within the first week, and results will become nearly final by week six. Your new collagen will continue to progress for up to one year.

FAQ

Is AccuTite safe?

AccuTite is one of the safest facial rejuvenating treatments available. It has been FDA-approved, and the platform includes built-in temperature sensing technology so that no damage will be done to the surrounding areas. This temperature cut-off feature ensures that there is no chance of your skin being burned.

My hands look aged. Can AccuTite address this?

Yes. AccuTite works very well on the backs of the hands, achieving results by tightening and rejuvenating them beautifully.

What is AccuLift?

AccuLift is an effective alternative to a surgical facelift, which is why it is often referred to as a “laser assisted facelift”. It is the first and only laser assisted facial contouring procedure available in the United States. AccuLift is a one-time, 30-minute procedure to rejuvenate the face and address areas of lower facial aging, including under the chin and along the jawline.

Why choose AccuLift?

Throughout the aging process, the tissues of the face and neck lose elasticity and become lax. As this occurs, fatty deposits will begin to sink down the face, causing a droop around the eyes and cheeks, as well as forming jowls along the jawline. This causes many people want to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on their face, restore their jawline, and get rid of the fullness in their neck. Men and women in their 40s, 50s, or 60s begin to notice they always look tired, and decide it’s time for a change.

However, very often they don’t want to undergo a surgical procedure and the recovery time required. To address these problems, an AccuLift procedure uses cutting-edge technology to lift tissues and restore a healthy appearance. The AccuLift procedure is ideal for the correction of both the face and neck. Nasolabial folds, sagging jowls, and lax tissue under the chin can show significant improvement after AccuLift. At a fraction of the cost seen in a traditional surgical facelift, the AccuLift procedure consistently provides efficient and effective results.

AccuLift treatment details

AccuLift is an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia with a few small needle punctures through which the AccuSculpt laser fiber is inserted. The goal of the procedure is to restore a more youthful neckline and jaw. Dr. Holcomb will use an AccuSculpt laser to reduce jowling and to contour the chin area in a minimally invasive technique. When the laser energy reaches the fatty tissue in the treatment areas, that fat is broken up and goes from a solid to a partial liquid state. The fat is then removed through a small liposuction procedure.

Is AccuLift a substitute for a surgical facelift?

An AccuLift laser assisted facelift procedure is not a substitute for a facelift or a mini facelift. Instead, it’s an option for people who do not want to undergo a more invasive procedure, or for those who do not need a lot to be done. Because AccuLift is a newer procedure, it’s not yet known how long the effects last. Many surgeons use AccuLift for mild to moderate fatty tissue deposits, or as a touch-up after a facelift. It’s also good to note that AccuLift is not a wrinkle reduction technique; rather, it’s a treatment for specific problems (like noticeable jowls). While AccuLift doesn’t offer the same results as a facelift, it does produce a significant improvement in the lower face and delivers a more youthful neckline and jawline. The change is very subtle and natural-looking.

Candidates for AccuLift

AccuLift is FDA-approved for men and women aged 20 through 70. If you’re in the Sarasota and Tampa area and you’re interested in AccuLift, it may be exactly what you’re looking for. The best candidates for an AccuLift laser assisted facelift procedure are men and women in good health who are bothered by the signs of aging on their face.

Men tend to have thicker skin, so it’s not uncommon for AccuLift’s tightening effect to take longer for males. Not everyone is a good candidate for AccuLift. Patients who have loose skin, very thin faces, or a lot of sun damage will not see much benefit. This is because the AccuLift procedure does not target deep tissue, so it cannot address excess skin — only excess fat.
