Because of these two components, Bellafill is able to create immediate results. As the original collagen gel fades away, your body will naturally replace it with your own collagen around the microspheres for unparalleled, long-term smoothness. Results last seamlessly for five years.
Bellafill is very safe when administered by a licensed medical professional. It has been FDA-approved, and both its collagen gel and its PMMA microspheres have established records of safety. PMMA is an acrylic material that is widely used in medicine. In addition, Bellafill has been proven safe and effective in for all skin types in rigorous clinical studies.
(However, an allergy test is required prior to Bellafill to make sure the patient is not sensitive to it.) As with most injectable dermal fillers, you may experience bruising, itching, slight discomfort, swelling, redness, discoloration, lumpiness, bumps, acne, or increased sensitivity at the treatment site following treatment. These side effects are common, and usually resolve quickly.
