Genius radiofrequency microneedling is the most sophisticated system of its kind for several reasons.
First of all, the technology is able to adapt to your skin in real time. This means that no matter what type of skin you have — old, young, damaged, collagen-rich or not — the system can sense this, and the radiofrequency energy that is delivered to your skin is the perfect amount for your specific needs. Collagen is able to be remodeled at different depths, depending on what you’re looking for. Genius radiofrequency microneedling is the only system that does this.
This adjustable depth also means that different areas can be treated, including stretch marks, the décolletage, the neck, chest, and arms.
Besides this, Genius radiofrequency microneedling also features the sharpest needles available, and they manufactured out of titanium and gold-plated. This means that they are extremely smooth and sharp, making for more comfort when they penetrate the skin. These needles are able to penetrate the skin cleanly, without much disruption to the skin.
Genius radiofrequency microneedling is also advanced in its ability to pass through the skin layer that relates to pigment. This means that it is safe for all skin types.
Genius radiofrequency microneedling uses a hand-held device to target areas of the skin. The device typically passes over each area of the face and/or neck three times each. During treatment, a FLIR® thermal imaging infrared camera will measure the skin’s temperature to ensure patient safety. The upper face is the most sensitive, but we will apply numbing cream before treatment to help with any discomfort.
Following your Genius radiofrequency microneedling treatment, your skin will feel tight and look red for the rest of the day. You won’t be able to “hide” this, and it will become even redder throughout the evening, so it’s wise to plan around your treatment. You may feel as though you have a sunburn.
By the next morning, much of the redness and heat will have subsided. By mid-day two or day three, your skin should have returned to its regular color — although it will still feel tight and rough. It will look great, but feel slightly scaly. This is because your skin is going through the collagen induction phase. The skin may also become itchy during this time. We recommend only using moisturizer for the first few days after treatment.
You will begin getting compliments on your new, glowing skin after about five days. However, your skin will continue to build collagen for several weeks after treatment, so you will also see improvement continue to progess over the next 4 to 6 months.
